Mothers' Union:

Mothers' Union is an international Christian Charity with members living in many countires, who share one heartfelt vision - to bring about a world where God's love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.

Members actively pursue this vision through community programmes, advocacy, campaigns and a committed prayer life. Our aim and purpose is to demonstrate the Christine faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the promotion of stable marriage, nurturing family life and the protection of children.

At St Michael's Church, we have 27 Mothers' union members working together to build strength, support and encourage families in the church and communities through our progrmmes, especially families facing adversity. We support National and local level initiatives by income generated from our yearly sponsored activities.

We continue to seek and encourage others to be part ot the Worldwide Organisation and to become a member of our branch.

Healing Ministry at St Michael's Church

The healing ministry is Jesus' ministry entrusted to us, always to be exercised with reverence, empathy, love and compassion.

Those offering ministry are not 'healers'. They represent the Church fulfilling her commision received from Jesus Christ and minister in humility through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  The healing ministry is based on prayer to God the Father in union with the Holy Spirit. Praying is about holding people, whom we are concerned about and who we love before God during their times of need. We ask that God's healing love be poured onto and into that person or situation.

Services:  Our healing services are held quarterly and this is advertised in our weekly sheets and on our notice board.

    • Healing is about wholeness
    • Healing is wider that cure
    • Healing and wholeness are what God wants for us.

The Church's Healing Ministry is complementary to the work of the doctors. Both are needed to build and restore health.

What ever your need, there is always a warm welcome awaiting you here at St Michael's Church.
