Welcome to St Michael the Archangel
A Journey of Return, Renewal & Hope
18th February 2026 - 4th April 2026
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10
Lent is a sacred season of reflection, repentance, prayer and spiritual renewal.
It invites us to slow down, to listen more intently and to turn our hearts again toward God.
As we journey through these forty days, may we walk closely with Jesus in humility, embracing grace and preparing our hearts for the joy of Easter.
May you have a blessed and deeply contemplative Lenten season.

Prayer & Reflection
A short reflection and prayer for this month
March
“I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait,
and in His word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning:
I say, more than they that watch for the morning.”
Psalm 130:5-6
March stands at the threshold between winter and spring, a season of waiting, when the earth still appears quiet, yet hidden work is already underway beneath the soil. Seeds begin to stir, and what looks lifeless is being gently prepared for new growth.
As the days slowly lengthen and the light begins to return, we are reminded that God is always at work, even when we cannot yet see the fruit of it. In the quiet, He is shaping hearts. In the stillness, He is preparing new life.
This Lenten season invites us into that same holy waiting. The psalmist writes of waiting for the Lord - not the restless waiting of impatience, but the watchful waiting of trust. The kind of trust that knows dawn will come, even when the night still lingers. Waiting is not empty time. It is sacred space where faith deepens, hope takes root, and trust is gently renewed. And just as spring rises from winter’s silence, God brings life from what once seemed dormant, leading us patiently toward resurrection hope.
Lord God,
teach us to wait for You with trusting hearts.
In the stillness, help us to rest in Your promises
and to trust Your perfect timing.
When we grow weary or uncertain,
remind us that You are always at work,
even when we cannot see it.
As light returns and life begins to stir,
renew our hope, deepen our faith,
and prepare our hearts for all
that You long to bring forth.
Amen.
