A short reflection and prayer for this month
May
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above…”
Colossians 3:1-4
In the light of the resurrection, we are invited to consider not only what Christ has done, but how we now live. Resurrection life calls us higher; we were not raised to remain the same.
It is easy to drift into a faith that is comfortable, quiet and unchanged, believing we can put on the righteousness of Christ while continuing in our old ways. Yet we have been bought at a price, chosen in Christ and set apart for Him.
There is a quiet temptation to settle, to follow what is familiar, to choose what is easy, or to shape our lives around our own desires rather than His will. But the life we have been given in Christ calls us beyond this. We are not our own - we belong to Him.
Because we belong to Him, we are invited to live differently, not striving in our own strength, but walking in the fullness of what He has already done. His promises are sure, and they are for us. In Him, we are made new, called, and kept.
So let us fix our hearts on what is eternal, and walk in the life we have been given.
Risen Lord,
we thank You for the life You have given
us through Your resurrection.
Thank You that we are not our own, but Yours,
chosen, called, and held by Your grace.
Draw us closer to You.
And where we long to know You more,
deepen our desire and meet us there.
Where we have drifted, gently call us back.
Where we have grown comfortable or distracted,
renew our hearts and refocus our lives.
Teach us to walk in the truth of who we are in You.
Lead us by Your Spirit,
that we may not follow what is easy,
but what is right and pleasing in Your sight.
Help us to live fully in the life You have given,
with willing hearts and open hands.
Keep us near to You, and shape us day by day,
for even when we falter, You remain faithful.

Services & Worship
We gather each week to worship, pray and share in Holy Communion. Whether it is your first visit or your faith runs deep, our services are open to all who seek the presence of God.
Sunday School
A place where faith begins to grow. Our Sunday School creates a safe, fun and faith-filled space for children to explore the stories of the bible, learn about Jesus, and grow in God's love.
